NO MISTAKES

Removing the word ‘mistake’ from one’s vocabulary turns every struggle into an adventure.

These are all products of mistake-thinking: ‘doing it wrong’, ‘failing’, ‘looking like a fool’. The end result of all this nonsense is giving up.

Without the concept of ‘mistake’ to distract you and discourage you, every process in life becomes an adventure!

You have a goal. It will stretch you, push you back, toss you left and right. Every step along the way touches unfamiliar ground for you. Enjoy the ride! Delight in the process! Treasure the accommplishment of little objectives, of baby steps.

Why would anyone want to give up when going on a challenging adventure? You might get tired, so rest a bit, take a break. Downtime is a becomes an opportunity for new ideas to incubate instead of ‘avoidance’ and ‘procrastination’. The back burner is where ideas intermingle and develop full flavour.

Empty your vocabulary of all the words that stem from mistake-consciousness. They don’t serve you. They are artifacts of the shortcomings of others from your past. Let them go.

Try just once, now, to take-up something challenging and approach it without care for mistakes. If you experience a setback, it becomes a gifted opportunity for learning. It becomes a desireable and necessary part of your adventure!

(By the way… there are two typos in this post… And I love them!)
